The HLF is supporting our History Tree project through their 'Sharing Heritage' scheme. Over the next few months we'll be producing a book and other materials celebrating local events from 1800-2007.
Back in the autumn of 2016, The Dalesman hosted a gala dinner to celebrate the Yorkshire Awards, and attendees were invited to donate to charitable causes. The Dalesman selected NYMA as one of the recipients, and we were delighted to be awarded our cheque at a recent ceremony at The Dalesman offices in Skipton. The £1500 we received is a great boost to our funds!
NYMA's annual competition for conservation in the National Park is open for applications.
Each year NYMA awards £500 to projects which help to achieve the aims of the National Park - conservation of the biodiversity, landscape or cultural heritage. We alternate between a President's Award and a Conservation Award. This year it's the Conservation Award, which is co-funded with the National Park Authority. You can apply if you're an individual, a community group or an organisation. The application forms are ready and waiting! Contact NYMA Secretary Janet Cochrane on janetcochrane55@gmail.com to find out more. Deadline for entries is April 30th.
