National Park Societies Conference

The conference was a great success with over 60 attending and excellent discussions.
"What a brilliant conference, thank you so much!"
"I very much enjoyed all the constituent parts - notably the talks, space to chat and the field trip. Great venue too. I learned a lot and came away challenged by what I heard."
Just two of the many accolades we've received after the 3-day National Park Societies conference just ended. What a long haul it's been! This is normally an annual event, hosted by each of the National Park Societies in turn. We started planning this one two years ago, before the pandemic, but had to postpone it again and again - and even recently there was a chance of another lockdown. But it worked! Delegates came from national parks all over the country, the speakers were excellent, and the field trips - to explore the Coastal heritage, Moorland management, and the Industrial and social heritage of Grosmont - complemented the presentations.
